End of Year Art Show including Fabulous Fakes

The show was a blockbuster attracting a large number of entries and a huge attendance on the day. City of Whitehorse Cr Bill Bennett opened the show and the Mayor Cr Andrew Davenport spoke about the importance of art to the life of our city, and about the development of the new arts hub being built.

There were two sections: 1. Members'own original artwork; and 2. a copy of a master artist's work.
Our main judge for the show was well known and respected artist Barbara McManus with assistance from WAA Vice-President Alan Close.

Congratulations to our major prize winners and Highly Commended award winners.
First prize for both categories was valued at $200.00. Second $150.00. Third $100.00 and Fourth $75.00. Coffee vouchers ( donated by Glen Park) and chocolates for the highly commended.
$50.00 Encouragement prize donated by WAA member Barbara Rogalski.
Over $1200.00 worth of prizes were awarded on the day.
Thank you to all our sponsors and all who worked hard to make it such a great day.
Alan Close, Convenor.
