Black and White Art Show and Christmas Party, December 2010
Saturday 4th Dec 2010, our clubrooms were
crowded. There was a buzz at WAA as a throng of people, members old
and new enjoyed a superb Christmas afternoon tea and excellent art on
display. Food and cakes, soft drinks and wine and plenty to see and
discuss with over 80 black and white
artworks on show. Scratch art was a special feature displayed for the
first time at WAA and those who took up this challenge were often

and white drawings using solid black line work on white paper, using a
pen and black ink, fine felt tipped black pen, or Chinese fine tipped

Whitehorse Arts School
Holiday program, October 2007
WAA was invited to participate in the Whitehorse Community Centre
School Holiday Program along with other organizations based at the
Centre. The program aimed to provide a range of activities for school
aged children, including art sessions tutored by WAA members Dot
Browne, Rosemary Price and Alan Close.

Impressionist Challenge, July 2006
At the Clubrooms, Silver Grove, Nunawading, Victoria, Australia.
The WAA Impressionist Challenge attracted 65 entries from members and
affiliates. There were at least 80 people present to enjoy an
exhibition the first Impressionists would surely have loved. Artists

The exhibition was very successful and the standard of work was excellent. There were over a
hundred people present and they mixed in very sociably.
