We were delighted to have Peter Smales back at WAA to demonstrate how he paints a seascape in oils. Peter is an award winning professional artist and an acknowledged master in painting with oils. This was a great opportunity to learn from him and to preview the short course he taught at WAA in Oct/Nov.

This WAA one-day short course in soft pastel on Saturday 7th September proved very popular, with about 20 people attending.

Natalie Doubrovski’s Collage & Mixed Media Short Course in August 2024 for WAA over two Saturday mornings was a revelation. It took me back to my childhood where making art was fun and joyous, with few rules and lots of freedom to experiment and go a little bit wild. It really got the creative juices flowing, and I enjoyed it so much for that. I would recommend a bit of collage to anyone who might be struggling for creative ideas, to help get you out of the rut and to think differently about how you are making art.

Maxine Wade Demonstration Watercolour & Mixed Media 17 August. WAA had a fascinating demo. by this experienced teacher, demonstrator and artist.
